Edward Bach M.D. (1886-1936) said ".....our fears, our cares, our anxieties and such like that open the path to the invasion of illness." Dr. Bach was trained in England in conventional medicine. He realized that the physical problems he treated were connected to the mental emotional states of his patients. Being a well respected Homeopathic Physician as well, led him to develop the 38 flower essences that are so popular today.
Each Flower Essence represents a state of mind. This state of mind can be seen as positive or when out of balance, negative. Balance can be restored by taking the appropriate Flower Essence or a combination of Essences. Your individual Flower Essence(s) can be found through an interview and questionnaire which will indicate your emotional state at that time. If emotional balance can be maintained then the mind and body will remain in a state of health. Flower Essences can be used to support the work of Reiki or be used by themselves.
Newer flower essences have been prepared in the same manner Dr. Bach prepared his. These newer essences are by companies through out the world using flowers from their geographical area. There are North American Flower Essences and Australian Flower Essences to name a few. I incorporate these into my practice as well.
